Kill la Kill is a anime produced by Studio Trigger. A relatively new studio's first television production wouldn't normally raise too many eyebrows when announced It was also heavily influenced by Cutey Honey with Ryuko having a similar origin story to Honey. Kill la Kill was originally conceived as a manga focused entirely on battle scenes, but it shifted during production to become more character-focused. Ryuko Matoi is a New Transfer Student at Honnouji Academy, a high school ruled with an iron fist by president Satsuki Kiryuin and her Absurdly Powerful Student Council , which in turn has power over the city it is located.
Incest is Wincest | Kill la Kill | Know Your Meme
Who knows? I know a lot of people like Kill and a lot do not. Yeah, Frank Tashlin invented it, but Avery ran with it. What really kills me, though, is how subversive it is, how self-aware it is, how meta it is. To me, it seems like someone put a lot of sweat into making sure the series maintained narrative momentum. Kill la Kill is that.
